Camp Royal
Camp Royal is an annual leadership training program for high school juniors, funded and run by Rotary District 5160. Founded in 1979, Camp Royal has become one of the top leadership camps for incoming high school seniors in the country.
Students from throughout the district are selected competitively to attend. During the weeklong camp, students develop advanced leadership skills by working with professional mentors, counselors, educators, keynote speakers, peers and Rotarians. A day on the "Ropes Course" teaches students experience in team building, trust and successful cooperation.
The program will be held July 27-29, 2022, at Grizzly Creek Camp near Portola, and is a concentrated week of information, ideas and strategies that will help the camper return to his/her school and community with increased confidence and the tools to be a more effective leader.
Applications are open to all Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District high school juniors and are accepted until the last week of February. Applications can be mailed to:

Applications are reviewed by a volunteer team of Rotarians and applicants are requested to interview with the team. Only two students will be selected.

Camp Venture
Camp Venture is a five day training and motivational camp for students who have finished their junior year and are interested in pursuing a career in business, particularly as entrepreneurs. It is held in late June at St. Mary’s College in Moraga. Students, sponsored by their local Rotary Clubs, have the opportunity to interact with experienced business people and meet with other students in District 5160 who have similar interests. Each student ends the week by participating in a “Shark Tank” like experience where student teams present new product ideas, with associated marketing and business plans, to a panel of business leaders.
